ANSTISS -- Father Arthur Theodore Anstiss, 73 passed away on Monday, November 17, 2003 at Socorro General Hospital. Fr. Anstiss was a retired Catholic Priest and a resident of Socorro, NM for the past 13 years. Fr. Anstiss was ordained in 1960. He was born July 14, 1930 to Joseph A. and Antionette R. (Harnois) Anstiss in Lowell, MA. He is preceded in death by his parents and a brother, George Anstiss. He is survived by his brother, Raymond Anstiss and wife, Ann of Chelmsford, MA; sister, Claire L. Anstiss of Lowell, MA; sister-in-law, Jacqueline Anstiss of Lowell, MA; 12 nieces and nephews and other relatives and friends. A Rosary will be recited on Wednesday, November 19, 2003 at 7:00 p.m. at the San Miguel Catholic Church. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thursday, November 20, 2003 at 10:00 a.m. at San Miguel with Father Bennett Voohries, Father Robert Auman and Father John C. Daniel as Concelebrants. Entombment will be in the Mount Calvary Cemetery in Albuquerque, NM on Thursday, November 20, 2003 at 2:30 p.m. Arrangements are under the care of Steadman-Hall Funeral Home, 309 Garfield, Socorro, NM.
