TORRES -- Joe Larry Torres, age 55, passed away Friday, November 7, 2003 at the Veterans Administration Hospital in Albuquerque, surrounded by his loving family. He served in the Vietnam War and was a very proud Marine. Joe Larry was preceded in death by his father Andres Torres and is survived by his son Andres D. Torres; former wife, Esther Torres; his mother, Fermina Torres; his brother, Gene Torres; his sisters, Stella Devine, Melba Barreras and husband Joe; several nieces, nephews, and other family members and friends who will miss his loving and kind way of expressing himself to everyone. Joe Larry will be missed by everyone who knew him. Services will be held at San Felipe Catholic Church in Old Town. A Rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. on Sunday, November 9, 2003. Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, November 10, 2003, with burial following at the Santa Fe National Cemetery at 1:30 p.m. Pallbearers will be Gary Torres, Orlando Sanchez, Steve Parraz, Eric Devine, Rudy Palma and Joshua Baca.
