LUCERO -- Mella Lucero died Sunday, October 19, 2003 in Albuquerque at the age of 96. She was preceded in death by her son, Silvano Lucero and her husband, Salomon Lucero. She is survived by eight children, Phillip Lucero and wife, Doris of San Diego, CA, Ruby Marquez of San Diego, CA, Robert Lucero and wife, Betty of Clovis, NM, Gloria Cappello and husband, Vince of Albuquerque, Grace Martinez of Albuquerque, Cruz Lucero of Clovis, NM, Esther Sandoval and husband, Ted of Albuquerque, and Gloria Jean Jaramillo and husband, Michael of Winslow, AZ. She is also survived by her brother, Alfonso Nuanes of Denver, CO, 30 grandchildren; and many great-grandchildren and great great-grandchildren. Visitation for Mrs. Lucero will be held on Wednesday, October 22, 2003 from 3:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Salazar & Sons Mortuary. A Memorial Service will follow at 7:00 p.m. at Salazar & Sons. Funeral Services will be held on Thursday at Salazar & Sons Mortuary at 10:00 a.m. Burial will follow at Fairview Memorial Park.
