HUTCHINSON -- Marjorie Edith Hutchinson, 94, a resident of Corrales for the past 30 years, and coming to New Mexico from Maryland, passed away on Monday, September 29, 2003. Marjorie was born June 4, 1909 the daughter of Herbert and Georgina Elizabeth Wilson McKim in Cobourg, Ontario, Canada. She had worked as an Administrative Assistant for the Federal Government before retiring. Marjorie was a member of the American Association of University Women; had a Masters Degree in Anthropology from the American University, her thesis was based on Viceroy Administration in Early Mexico. She loved travel and gardening. She was active in the civil rights movement in Maryland. Marjorie and her husband volunteered as Life Plan Counselors for the Las Lunas Prison. Marjorie was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Ernest Hutchinson in 1987. She is survived by four children, Peter Brian Hutchinson and wife Janie, David Charles Hutchinson and wife Dorothee, Robert James Hutchinson and wife Louise, and Mary Hutchinson Moloney and husband Mike; eleven grandchildren,; and eight great-grandchildren. It has been suggested that Memorials in Marjorie's name be made to Presbyterian Hospice, 8100 Constitution Ave. NE, Albuquerque, NM 87110. Private services will be held at a later time.
