SCOTT -- John Nimrod, 89, of Estancia entered into rest on September 19, 2003 at his home in Estancia. John was born on January 6, 1914 in Dewey, Oklahoma to Charles Wesly Scott and Rachel (Claphan) Scott who have preceded him in death. Also preceding him death were his wife Mary, and a daughter, Joyce Eloise. John was a founding member of the Torrance County Sherriff's Posse, a member of the Torrance County Senior Citizen's Center and a past member of the Torrance County Archaeological Society. John is survived by his two daughters, Lavonne Lawrence and husband, Leroyce and Rhonda Huddleston and husband, Randy. John is also survived by a brother, Ed Scott and two sisters, Bessie Hibner and Mary Markel. Three grandchildren, John Lawrence, Ryan Huddleston and Rayna Huddleston; one great- grandchild, Jonna Jo Lawrence also survive him. Visitation for John will be on Sunday September 21, 2003 from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at Harris-Hanlon Mortuary in Moriarty. Funeral Services will be on Monday September 22, 2003 at 10:00 a.m. at the Immanuel Baptist Church of Estancia with the Rev. Albert Hagen officiating. Burial will follow at the Estancia Cemetery. Pallbearers for John will be Derrell Winn, Bryan Winn, George Martin, Eugene Buck, Don Mitchell and Buddy Dunn. Honorary Pallbearers will be Carl Cannon, Lewis O'Neal, Jim Frost, Joe Chavez, Jupe Means and Alfonso Rodriguez. Arrangements entrusted to: Harris-Hanlon Mortuary Moriarty, New Mexico 505-832-6130
