Barbosa -- Conseulo Maria Luisa Barbosa, 70, a resident of Albuquerque/Rio Rancho since 1973, coming from Costa Mesa, California. Consuelo was born May 26, 1928, the daughter of Enrique L. and Florinda C. Lucero Barreras in Gallup, NM. She was married to Richard D. Barbosa on July 27, 1963 in Las Vegas, Nevada. Consuelo had been a Secretary/Bookkeeper for a plumbing contractor before retiring. She was a member of the TOPS International of Rio Rancho, the Altar/Rosary Society of St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church. Consuelo was preceded in death by her father, Enrique Barreras. She is survived by her husband, Richard of Rio Rancho; mother, Flora Barreras of La Bajada, NM; five children, Evangeline Tinajero of Rio Rancho, Janice Walton of Carson, CA, Terri Molina and husband, William of Albuquerque, Richard Barbosa Jr. and wife, Lorraine of Albuquerque, Arthur Barbosa and wife, Leda of Albuquerque; one brother, Henry L. Barreras of Albuquerque; eight grandchildren, Darrin Muenzberg and wife, Eva, Charles Aragon, Mariesa Barbosa, Vanessa Barbosa, Christopher Mendoza, A.J. Molina, Sarany Singer, and Adam Singer; her niece, Carol McMillan and family; her nephews, Robert Barreras and family, and Bruce Barreras and family; and many other aunts, uncles and cousins. Consuelo was a very loving and dedicated wife, mother, daughter, sister and grandmother. The Rosary will be recited on Wednesday, August 12, 1998 at 7:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Vista Verde Mortuary, Sara Rd. at Meadowlark Ln., Rio Rancho. The Mass of Resurrection will be celebrated on Thursday, August 13, 1998 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church with the Rev. Guy Roberts as the Celebrant.
