Gallegos -- Ms. Mary Julia Gallegos, 52, a resident of Albuquerque and formally of Seboyta, NM, passed away peacefully at home in the arms of her loving family on September 30, 1998. Ms. Gallegos is survived by her two sisters, Fela Apodaca and husband, Benjamin and Mary Ann Marquez; four nieces, Elisa Apodaca, Cora Trujillo and husband, Roger, Darlene Tafoya and husband, Donny, and Yvonne Rodriguez; three nephews, Patricia Hughes and wife, Mary, Ruben Gallegos and wife, Connie, and Gerald Baca; great-nephews and nieces, Matthew, Heather, Corey, Delfino, Maggie, Donna, Marcus, Kayla, Estevan, Jesus, Christina, Carlos, Elena, Jeremy, Gerald, Jr., David and Michelle; three great-great-nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her sister, Sally Gallegos; and a niece, Vanessa Baca. Ms. Gallegos was a member of the Catholic Church; she liked arts and crafts; she loved her family; when employed with Social Services, she was always there to help everyone. Visitation for Ms. Gallegos will be Friday afternoon, from 12:00 p.m. until 1:00 p.m., in the Gabaldon Memorial Chapel, 1000 Old Coors Rd. SW. A Rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church in Seboyta, NM with visitation after 5:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday morning, 11:00 a.m., at Our Lady of Sorrows Church with visitation at the church after 10:30 a.m. Father John Baland will recite the Rosary and celebrate the Mass. Pallbearers will be Matthew Trujillo, David Marquez, Delfino Gallegos, Jeremy Baca, Ruben Gallegos and Gerald Baca. Honorary pallbearers will be Richard Gonzales and Donny Tafoya. Gabaldon Mortuary, 1000 Old Coors Rd. SW, in charge of the arrangements.
