Pinkerton -- June Emojean Pinkerton, 89, a resident of Hillsboro, OR and formerly of Albuquerque, passed away June 9, 1998. Mrs. Pinkerton was born June 23, 1908 to William J. and Ida L. Panky Nossaman in Pagosa Springs, CO where she grew up and completed school. While working as a telephone operator, she met and married John A. Pinkerton in Aztec, NM on February 20, 1940. He was her supervisor at the telephone company where she was working. During World War II, they moved to Bremerton, WA, where Mr. Pinkerton worked in the naval shipyards. They moved to Cortez, CO in 1947 and lived there until 1951 when they moved to Albuquerque, where they built a home. John preceded her in death in 1985. In 1994, she moved to Hillsboro, OR and had been a resident at Cornell Estates until ill health required her to move where she could receive the medical care she needed. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Perry and Dianne Pinkerton of Hillsboro, OR; a nephew, Wade Nossaman of Denver, CO; and a host of dear friends. A service of remembrance will be held Tuesday, June 16, 1998, 2:00 p.m. at Hillcrest Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will be at Sunset Memorial Park.
