Lee -- Clifford Leon Lee, 80, a resident of Belen for over 20 years, died Tuesday, June 9, 1998. He is survived by his sisters, Lillian Smith of Starr, SC, Wilma Jeter of Pocahontas, AR, Juanita Shelton of Derby, KS, and Faye Carpenter of Pittsburg, TX; brother, Curtis Lee of Pittsburg, TX; and numerous nieces and nephews including Teresa G. Chaparro of Albuquerque, NM. Mr. Lee was preceded in death by his wife, Stella Majalca Lee. He retired from the U.S. Army after serving in both WWII ad the Korean Conflict. Mr. Lee loved his family, animals, and the outdoors. Graveside services were held Saturday, 11:00 a.m., at Vista Memory Gardens in T or C, NM, with Pastor Rick Forthman, officiating. Pallbearers were members of the Ft. Bliss Honor Guard. French Mortuary, 1111 University Blvd., NE.
