Pasternack -- Clarice Lillian (Baruch) Pasternack, 81, loving wife, mother and grandmother, passed away on February 26, 1998. Clarice was born in New York City on August 19, 1916. On December 11, 1941, she married Benjamin Pasternack. Ben and Clarice moved to Albuquerque in 1949. They operated San Mateo Drugs and B. Pasternack Optical Dispensary until Ben's retirement in 1982. Clarice was an active member of the B'Nai Israel Synagogue, where she had many dear friends whose kindnesses throughout the years are greatly appreciated by her family. She was also a member of Hadassah. Clarice was preceded in death by her husband of 43 years, Benjamin; and her sister, Anita Uhrmacher of Little Silver, NJ. She is survived by her son, Bruce E. Pasternack of Albuquerque and wife, Kari Brandenburg; her beloved grandson, Benjamin Brandenburg Pasternack; the pride and joy of her life, and beloved step-grandchildren, Brandi, Justin and Savannah. She is also survived by her niece, Judge Bette Uhrmacher Gale of Little Silver, NJ and husband, Martin; and her nephew, Carl Uhrmacher of Columbia, MD and wife, Barbara. Her family also appreciates the many kindnesses of Clarice's dear friend, Maria McCullough. A graveside funeral will be held at Fairview Memorial Park, 700 Yale Boulevard SE, at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, March 2, with Strong-Thorne Mortuary in charge of arrangements. A memorial service will be held at Congregation B'Nai Israel, 4401 Indian School Road NE, on Monday, March 2, at 6:30 p.m. Strong-Thorne Mortuary, 1100 Coal Ave. SE, in charge of arrangements.
