Ganzerla -- DINO A. GANZERLAA Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday, December 4, 1999, 10:00 a.m., at St. Columbia Catholic Church for Dina A. Ganzerla, a longtime Durango resident, who died Sunday, November 28, 1999, in Durango. He was 86. Recitation of the Rosary will be Friday, December 3, 1999, 7:00 p.m., at Hood Mortuary Chapel; visitation will be Friday, from 10:00 a.m. until 6:00 p.m. Dino was born in Des Moines, Iowa to Oreste and Edina Roveda Ganzerla Sr. He married Mary Helen Oldham in 1941. Ganzerla was a longtime businessman in Gallup before he and his family moved to Durango, Colorado in 1965, where he began ranching in the Animas valley. He was a life member of the Benevolent and Protective Order of the Elks in which he was a past Exalted Ruler. Ganzerla was also a member of the Knights of Columbus, in which he obtained the 3rd and 4th degrees of membership and he received a life membership in that organization as well. Dino is survived by his wife, Mary Helen Ganzerla of Durango; daughters, Dina O'Brien of Phoenix, AZ and Patti Loe of Dallas, TX; a son, Tony Ganzerla of Durango; daughters, Lisa Dillon of Durango and Lisa Graves of Durango; a brother, Rusty Ganzerla of Albuquerque; a sister, Lucia McDuff of Albuquerque; one granddaughter; seven grandsons; three great-granddaughters; three great-grandsons; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a grandson, Brian Graves. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to a charity of choice in Dino's name.
