Gonzales -- Margaret C. Gonzales, 91, a resident of Albuquerque since 1969, died Tuesday, November 9, 1999. She is survived by her daughter, Julia Navarro; grandson, Fred Navarro Jr.; granddaughter, Laura Navarro, all of Los Angeles, CA; numerous great-grandchildren; sister, Lucy Chavez of Pueblo, CO; many nieces and nephews, and a special niece, Delfinia Leyba and husband, Manuel of Albuquerque. Mrs. Gonzales was preceded in death by her husband, Antonio D. Gonzales; sister, Barbara C. Roybal; and brothers, Dan and David Carter. She was born to Daniel Roland Carter and Fidela Leyba. Memorial Mass will be celebrated Friday, 12:00 noon, at Queen of Heaven Catholic Church, 5311 Phoenix Ave. NE, with Father Johnny Lee Chavez, Celebrant. Interment will take place Friday, 10:00 a.m., at Santa Fe National Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Joe Roybal, Johnnie Garcia, Dan Carter, Roland Carter, Joe Gonzales, and Apolonio Chavez Jr. Honorary pallbearers will be Lawrence Leyba and Manuel Torres. The family requests memorial contributions be made to Sandia Hospice, 4775 Indian School Rd. NE, Suite 310, 87110. The family extends a special thank you to all the caregivers.
