It was just like mom to be concerned about us and our last good-byes before she left this world to go home. Last night the entire world mourned the loss of a truly remarkable woman. Marilyn Vona-Starr, age 56, died on August 30, 1999 at midnight due to a major aneurysm. She is survived by her mother, Emma Vona; husband, David Starr; children, Lisa, Gina, Santo and Michael; grandchildren, Priscilla, Jessica, Darbie, Nicholas, Johnathan, and Gianni. Mom recently graduated from California State University of Northridge, earning a dual major in business finance and real estate. She was a devoted, loving and caring spouse and mother to her husband, children and grandchildren. She will surely be missed. Mom was the best mommy and best friend any child could ever hope to have.
