Montequin -- Mrs. Mercedes Isabel Montequin died Friday in Albuquerque. She was preceded in death by her husband, Celestino Montequin; daughter, Edilia Montequin; and a grandson, Francois Montequin. She is survived by one daughter, Fredes Gonzalez and her husband, Isauro of Albuquerque; two sisters, Dulce Marchena of Miami, FL and Carmen Otero of Albuquerque; three grandchildren, Alex Gonzalez, Ana Teresita Mora and Irma Pluemer; one great-grandchild, Gabriela Mora; and several nephews and nieces. Funeral services for Mrs. Montequin were held on Monday at the Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Evening services were held on Sunday with Rev. Manuel Viera and Rev. Eliseo Montoya officiating. Pallbearers were Alex F. Gonzalez, Isauro Gonzalez, Vicente Fuentevilla, James Mora, Steve Pluemer, and Manuel Otero. The family of Mrs. Montequin wishes to thank all their relatives and friends who were in attendance of the Funeral services.
