Swendson -- Fern G. Swendson, age 84, a long time resident and retired Dairy Farm Operator, passed away on Tuesday, August 17, 1999. She is survived by her daughter, Velma Kelly; son-in-law, Dave Kelly; and granddaughter, Fern Anita Kelly; sister, Irene Steuerwald of California; niece, Joyce Morton of Texas; grandniece, Rachel Pyle of Texas. She was preceded in death by her husband, Sven J. Swendson; daughter, Irene and sister, Velma Daggett. Graveside services will be held on August 23, 1999 at 10:00 a.m. at Fairview Memorial Park, 700 Yale SE. Pastor Larry from Saint Paul's Lutheran Church officiating. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to either Catholic Social Services, 1410 Coal Ave N.W., 87104, or Saint Paul Lutheran Church, 1100 Indian School Road N.E., 87102. Strong-Thorne Mortuary, 1100 Coal SE, in charge of arrangements.
