Martinez -- Mr. Richard"Ricky" Martinez passed away at home on Wednesday, November 24, 1999 at the age of 47. Ricky graduated from Valley high School and worked for the City of Albuquerque from where he recently retired after 25 years. he was preceded in death by his brother, Chris Ray Martinez. He is survived by his parents, Chris and Isabel Martinez; his grandmother, Julia Murphy; his sister, Kathy and her husband, Leroy Griego; tow nieces, Maria Victoria and Christina; nephews, Benito Rey and Max Rey; and great niece,Josette. Funeral Services for Mr. Martinez will beheld on Monday at the San Felipe de Neri Catholic Church where the Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow at the Gate of Heaven Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Max Rey Martinez, Ramon Lueras, Robert Martinez, Larry Hicks, Benito Rey Griego and Michael Medina. Visitation for Mr. Martinez will be held on Sunday from 3:00 p.m. until 7:30 p.m. in the mortuary chapel. A Rosary will be recited on Sunday evening at 7:30 p.m. at the Salazar & Sons Mortuary, 400 Third St. SW.
