Montoya -- Alice M. Montoya, 87, beloved and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and sister was called home to be with the Lord Wednesday, October 5, 1999. Mrs. Montoya was born in Pena Blanca, NM in 1912 to the Andrew and Simonita Lucero; she was a resident of Rio Rancho; and a parishioner of St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Gladys Schilling in 1978. Mrs. Montoya is survived by her loving husband of 60 years, Louis Montoya of the family home; her children, Betty Weil, Louis Montoya Jr., Barbara Montoya all of Albuquerque, Kenneth Montoya of Honolulu, Cynthia Rudzynski and husband, Joseph of Buffalo, NY, Yvonne Moore and husband, Wayne and Russell Montoya both of Rio Rancho; 20 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren. Also surviving are two brothers, Andrew Lucero and wife, Connie of Hawthorne, CA, Gilbert Lucero and wife, Cam of Albuquerque. She will be greatly missed by her loving family. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated this morning at 10:00 a.m. at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church in Rio Rancho. Interment will take place Monday at 2:00 p.m. at Vista Verde Memorial Park. Funeral services are in the care of Garcia Mortuary, 717 Stover Ave., SW.
