Garcia -- Mr. Rafael Garcia, 66, a resident of Albuquerque, passed away on August 10, 1999 peacefully at home in the arms of his loving family. Mr. Garcia was the beloved husband of 43 years to Mrs. Gloria Garcia. Mr. Garcia is also survived by three daughters, Anna M. Guerra and husband, Abel, Carol A. Garcia and Sandra C. Baldonado and husband, Eloy; two sons, Ralph A. Garcia and wife, Gloria, and Rick M. Garcia and wife, Becky; eight sisters, Martha, Patsy, Anita, Gloria, Sally, Freddie, Vera and Diane; one brother, Manuel; nine grandchildren, Raelene, Gabriel, Christina, Julie, Janelle, Matthew, Victoria, Cassandra and Marisa. Mr. Garcia was a member of the Catholic Church and a Veteran of the U.S. Army, serving in the Korean Conflict. Visitation will be Thursday evening at 6:30 p.m. in the Gabaldon Memorial Chapel, 1000 Old Coors Rd. SW, with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. by Gabriella Nieto. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday, 9:00 a.m., at Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Catholic Church, 5415 Fortuna NW with visitation at the church after 8:30 a.m. Father Joel Garner, Celebrant. Interment will follow at the Santa Fe National Cemetery at 11:30 a.m. Pallbearers will be Leroy Gallegos, Tony Gallegos, Larry Sandoval, Tom Valverde, Phillip Gallegos and Bobby Sanchez. Honorary pallbearers will be Matthew Garcia and Gabriel Garcia. Gabaldon Mortuary in charge of arrangements.
