Luna -- Lorraine Tixier Luna, 76, a lifelong resident of New Mexico, died Tuesday, August 3, 1999, after a brief illness. She was born on March 11, 1923 to Domisinda Vigil Tixier and Federico B. Tixier, near Clayton, at Ariba la Mesa. She was preceded by her husband of 59 years, James J. Luna on October 18, 1998; and her beloved son, J.J. She is survived by her daughter, Yvonne Luna Lee and husband, Peter; granddaughter, Lorraine Luna; brother, John Tixier and wife, Nona; and sister, Ida Lungford and husband, John. The Tixier and Vigil families are a part of New Mexico's ranching history. Mrs. Luna was a member of St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church. Rosary will be recited Friday, 7:00 p.m. at French Mortuary, University Blvd. Chapel, 1111 University Blvd. Ne, with Kathy Garcia reciting. Mass will be celebrated Saturday, 9:30 a.m. at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church, 1818 Coal Pl. SE, with Father Julian Rousseau, Celebrant. Interment will follow at Fairview Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be Peter Lee, Jonathan Harrell, Phillip Martinez, Daniel Lucero, Leroy Paulson, and Debra Heimel. Friends may visit French Mortuary, 1111 University Blvd. NE, Friday, 6:30 p.m. to time of rosary.
