Marquez -- Jose Marquez, 60, a resident of Albuquerque, passed away early Monday at his residence. He is survived by his wife, Evelyn of the family home; three sons, Luis Marquez and wife, Anna, Enrique Marquez and wife, Blanca, Miguel Marquez and wife, Juanna, all of Albuquerque; one daughter, Teresa Marquez of Chihuahua, Mexico; one step-son, Steve Garcia and wife, Melissa of Albuquerque; two step-daughters, Angelica Jiron and husband, Scott of Albuquerque and Lisa Ewing of Albuquerque; and ten grandchildren. Also surviving are two brothers, Celestino Marquez of Albuquerque, Encarnation Marquez of Chihuahua, Mexico; three sisters, Eustacia Aquirre of Oklahoma, Juanna Lopez of Chihuahua, Mexico, and Brigeida Marquez of Chihuahua, Mexico; and two of his best friends, Gilbert Baca and Richard Luna; and many nieces and nephews. Mr. Marquez will lie in state today, from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. in the chapel of Garcia Mortuary, 8th and Iron. The Rosary will be recited this evening at 7:00 p.m. also in the chapel. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday at 11:00 a.m. at San Jose Parish Church. Interment will follow at Mount Calvary Cemetery. Services are under the direction and care of Garcia Mortuary, 717 Stover SW.
