Davies -- William (Bill) P. Davies, 91, a resident of Albuquerque since 1929, died Friday, January 8, 1999. He is survived by his wife, Catharine F. Davies of Albuqerque; daughter, Elizabeth Frederick and husband, James of Shreveport of LA; son, Richard Davies and wife, Sandra of Aurora, CO; and grandchildren, Michael Davies and wife, Jenni, Jarvis Frederick, Carolyn Frederick Royall and husband, Croskeys, and Beth Ann Davies. Bill and Catharine were married August 7, 1931. He was a member of First Presbyterian Church where he was a Deacon and Elder. Bill and Catharine were Charter Members of Mariners Presbyterian Couples Group. He graduated from UNM in 1932 and received his Masters Degree from UNM in 1946. Bill taught at Albuquerque High School from 1936 to 1955. From 1955 to 1975, he was the Director of the Audio Visual Aid Program for APS which he established. Services will be held Tuesday, 2:00 p.m., at First Presbyterian Church, 215 Locust, NE, with The Reverend C. Richard Brown, Officiating. Interment will follow at Fairview Memorial Park. Friends may visit French Mortuary, University Blvd Chapel, 1111 University Blvd, NE, Monday from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Should friends desire, memorial contributions may be made to the New Mexico Boys & Girls Ranch, 6209 Hendrix, NE, Albuquerque, NM 87110.
