Hilton -- Lee Hilton, 78, of Los Alamos passed away suddenly May 26, 1999. Lee retired from LANL after 33 years. He was a WWII veteran as part of the Manhattan Project. He was also the head of Maintenance for the Los Alamos Ski Area for 12 years. Lee owned and operated Lee's Welding Shop until his death. Lee is survived by his wife, Margaret of 58 years; daughters, Rebecca Hedrick and husband, Ron of Albuquerque, Jane Schroer and husband, Jim of Richardson, TX; son, Kim Hilton of Spokane, WA; grandchildren, Tad, Tracy, Jeff, Jason, Charlie, Joseph, Megan; and one great-granddaughter; brothers, Bill and Max; and one sister, Lela. Inurnment will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, June 1, 1999 at the Santa Fe National Cemetery, with a Memorial Service following at 2:00 p.m. at Fuller Lodge in Los Alamos with Rev.
