Hart -- Edward James Hart, a lifelong resident of New Mexico, passed from this earth on Monday, May 24, 1999. A dedicated father and husband, he is survived by his wife, Jean; sons, Rodney, Roger, and Robert; daughter-in-law, Allyson; and granddaughters, Ashley and Alyssa; we well as brother, John; sister-in-law, Ann; and nephews, Charles, Lee, and John. Ed was born in Albuquerque on October 17, 1929, at St. Joseph Hospital, and raised in Albuquerque, Carthage, and Gallup, NM. He attended Albuquerque High School, the University of New Mexico, and served in the New Mexico Air National Guard. Retired after 38 years with Sandia National Laboratories as a Senior Technologist, Ed developed several inventions, received a patent, and won several awards, including one from the Department of Energy for his work on the design of various weapons systems. Having met his wife in Albuquerque, they would have shared their 48th wedding anniversary on May 26th. Ed was a gentle, kind, and loving person who left an indelible impression on all whom he touched. He will be greatly missed. Memorial services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, June 1st in the chapel located at Central United Methodist Church, 1615 Copper Ave, NE, Albuquerque, NM.
