Huelsmann -- Barbara Huelsmann, beloved wife and mother, born in Battle Mountain, Nevada in 1921, a resident of Albuquerque since 1953, passed away on June 7, 1999. She is survived by her sons, David, Donald and Dale Huelsman; daughters, Diana Beron and Deborah Hollington; seven grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Barbara graduated from Washington University School of Nursing as a Registered Nurse in St. Louis, Missouri in 1942. She worked for several years at B.C.M.C. Hospital, taught at the Technical Vocational Institute and retired from Blue Cross-Blue Shield as a Quality Assurance Manager. She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Huelsman, M.D., who passed away on May 19, 1989. Funeral services will be held at St. Charles Borromeo Church, 1818 Coal Place SE, on Friday, June 11, at 10:00 a.m. Contributions may be made to the Barrett House (a home for the homeless P.O. Box 30843, Albuquerque, NM 87190; 246-9244), where she volunteered her time and efforts, or to the Alzheimer's Association, (1330 San Pedro NE, Suite 205, Albuquerque, NM 87110; 266-4473). Interment will be at the Santa Fe National Cemetery.
