Page -- Col. Gordon B. Page, US Army Ret., 87, a resident of Albuquerque since 1970, died Saturday, March 20, 1999. He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Lillian H. Page of Albuquerque; sons, James G. Page and wife, Judith of Santa Cruz, CA, Michael Page of Seattle, WA, Lochlin S. Page and wife, Joanne of Bosque Farms, NM, and Jonathan T. Page of Albuquerque; and nine grandchildren, Seth, Ethan, Eli, Laura Daniels and husband, Jeff, Crystal, Christopher, Colleen, Cameron and Sierra. He was preceded in death by his son, Christopher. Col. Page was a graduate of UNM and obtained a Masters in Geology from UCLA and a Masters in Philosophy from George Washington University. Before joining the military, he worked for the Soil Conservation Service in New Mexico and Arizona. He graduated from Command and General Staff College. He also graduated from, and taught at, National War College in Washington, DC. After surviving the attack on Pearl Harbor, Col. Page served in the Pacific Theater. Following 32 years of service, he retired from the military as the Engineer Inspector General. He was then employed by the State of New Mexico and retired as Deputy State Geologist. Col. Page was a member of the Albuquerque Archaeological Society, Archaeological Society of New Mexico, American Society of Military Engineers, American Society of Civil Engineers, Masonic Hiram Lodge No. 13 A.F. & A.M., and Central United Methodist Church for many years. Memorial services will be held Tuesday, 10:30 a.m., at Central United Methodist Church, 1615 Copper Ave. NE, with Dr. Charles Crutchfield officiating.
