Kibler -- Jeannette Kibler, born February 22, 1929 in Lacross, Wisconsin, was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Arther Mahlman. She lived and graduated from high school in Lacross. She attended Lacross Teachers College and went on to nursing school at Rochester Nursing School in Rochester, Minnesota. She married R.G. Kibler January 27, 1951 and lived in Honolulu, Hawaii until 1952, when Russell was discharged from the Air Force. He went on to U.C. Berkeley, where he graduated in June of 1955. Jeannette, better known as Jan, assisted in opening the first coronary care unit in the Bay area of California, and a branch of the Mayo Clinic, which she was affiliated with. She retired from nursing in 1992. Jeannette was honored by being a lifetime member of the California PTA, for her work with children over the years. She was supportive of anything her children were involved in. She was on the Board of Trustees at the Church of the Good Shepherd, and also served as Secretary of the Church Council. She became a bridge Life Master in January 1994, and served on the Local #374 board for two years. Jeannette is survived by a son, Mark of Memphis, TN; and granddaughter, Lindsey of Albuquerque; and a son, Brad and his wife, Colleen, and grandchildren, Michael and Christopher of Maui, HI. A memorial service will be at 12:00 noon, Sunday, March 28, at the Church of the Good Shepherd, 7834 Tennyson Street NE, Albuquerque, NM 87122. Memorial donations may be made to the Church of the Good Shepherd. Cremation arrangements are being handled by Sunrise Society, 891-8200.
