Appleton -- Peggy (Alice M.) Appleton passed away in Albuquerque on March 12, 1999. Peggy was born to Clifford and Gela Buskirk in Amarillo, Texas at noon on September 1, 1919 as the Labor Day parade was passing their house. She spent most of her life in Deming, NM. After retiring from PNM, she lived in Pinetop, AZ and in Albuquerque. She was preceded in death by her former husband, Leonard Appleton; and by her son, Bob Appleton. Peggy is survived by her brother, Jack Buskirk and wife, Eddie of Dallas, TX; her daughter, Suzie Clark and husband, Rod of Albuquerque; her daughter-in-law, Paul Appleton of Pinetop, AZ; her grandson, Jake and wife, Annie of Mesa, AZ; her granddaughters, Meridith Clark of Ventura, CA and Allison Yearout and husband, Mark of Sandia Park, NM. She also leaves her great-grandchildren, Jourdan, Taylor and Logan Yearout; nieces and nephews and many friends. A graveside service will be held at Mountain View Cemetery in Deming at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 20.
