Whelan -- Margaret M."Marge" Whelan, 89, died Friday, January 29, 1999. She is survived by her sister, Kathleen A. Cooney of Albuquerque; and numerous nieces, nephews and family members. She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward P. Whelan. Margaret was a former resident of Chicago, IL, before moving to Albuquerque in 1967. She was manager of executive payroll at the Mars Candy Co. She was also an avid golfer and bridge player. Margaret was a former resident of The Grand Court. Mass of Resurrection will be Tuesday, 10:00 a.m. at Church of the Risen Savior, 7701 Wyoming NE, with Fr. Paul Baca, Celebrant. Interment will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Pallbearers will be James D. Cooney, John R. Cooney, James B. Cooney, James W. Cooney and Daniel Kinane. The family requests memorial contributions be made to Church of the Risen Savior, 7701 Wyoming, NE, 87109. French Mortuary, 7121 Wyoming NE.
