Crowe -- Mrs. Katherine Alderson Crowe, 76, widow of Thomas W. Crowe Jr., died Wednesday, March 24, 1999 at her residence in Cary, North Carolina. Mrs. Crowe made her home most of her adult life in Decatur, Georgia and for the past year in North Carolina with her daughter. Graveside services will be conducted Friday, 4:00 p.m., at Rose Hill Cemetery in Columbia, Tennessee with Rev. Ron Eversole officiating. The family will visit with friends from 3:30 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the graveside. Oakes & Nichols is in charge of arrangements. Memorial services will be conducted Saturday, 4:00 p.m., at Decatur Christian Church in Decatur, Georgia with Dr. Fred Craddock, former Minister of Central Christian Church in Columbia, officiating. The family will visit with friends in the Decatur Christian Church parlor from 3:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. A memorial service will be conducted Sunday, 2:00 p.m., at Covenant Christian Church in Cary, North Carolina. Memorials may be made to the Cherry Log Church, P.O. Box 289, Cherry Log, Georgia 30522, Christmount Assemly, in care of Michael Murphy, 222 Fern Way, Black Mountain, North Carolina 28711 or Hope Chapel Cary Building Fund, 111 Woodwinds Industrial Court, Cary, North Carolina 27511. The Maury County, Tennessee native was the daughter of the late Thomas Jefferson Alderson and Margaret Hardison Alderson. She was a 1941 graduate of Columbia Central High School and later attended Peabody College and the University of Tennessee in Knoxville. She was a former member of Central Christian Church in Columbia and a longtime member of First Christian Church in Dectur, Georgia. Survivors include three daughters, Mrs. Don (Kathy) Morris of Albuquerque, Mrs. Ben (Connie) Jones of Asheville, North Carolina and Mrs. John (Debbie) Neel of Cary, North Carolina; three sisters, Mrs. J.A. (Peggy) Morgan of Columbia, Mrs. L.P. (Martha) Brichetto of Knoxville and Mrs. Robert (Jeane) Argo of Athens, Georgia; four grandchildren, Thomas Jones, William Jones, Jeff Neel and Katie Neel; several nieces and nephews.
