Padilla -- IN LOVING MEMORY OF ERNIE D. PADILLA AUGUST 12, 1962 - DECEMBER 2, 1994It hardly seems like five years have come and gone since God called you to be with him. It seems like only yesterday when we last talked with you. I remember the day you went into the hospital, it was the day after Thanksgiving. Little did we know that you would spend the last week of your life on Earth there. All your family and friends came to see you, pray with you, and encourage you to continue on. But we finally had to realize it was your time and we had to let you go. I remember how much we cried when you left us, it just didn't seem fair. You were so young, so handsome, a good son, a great brother, and a true friend. There were so many people at your funeral services. That's when I realized just how many lives you had touched. Young or old, rich or poor, it didn't matter to you, for you treated everyone the same. You were a friend to all, even at times when we weren't friends to you. You had a heart of gold. It's lonesome here without you. We miss you more and more each day. It's been a painful five years without you here. We think of you everyday. The memories we have in our hearts will keep you with us forever. Ernie, may you rest peacefully in Heaven. We love you. You are still the GREATEST!Con Amor, Tu Familia.A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at 8:00 p.m. on Sunday, December 5, 1999 at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church in Bernalillo, New Mexico. All Ernie's friends and relatives are invited to attend.
