Shelton -- Pat Shelton, 88, a resident of Albuquerque since 1950, died Friday, January 21, 2000. He is survived by his wife, Dorothy Shelton of the family home; son, Ira J. Shelton and wife, Diane; daughter, Patsy D. Lindley and husband, Robert, all of Albuquerque; six grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and sister, Lena Rae Jones of Johnson City, Texas. Mr. Shelton moved here from Conroe, TX in 1950. He retired in 1979 from the retail grocery business in Albuquerque. He was an active member at Highland Baptist Church. Mr. Shelton was also an ordained deacon and served at Riverside and Trinity Baptist Church. Services will be held Monday, 2:00 p.m. at Chester T. French Memorial Mausoleum Chapel, 924 Menaul Blvd. NE, with Rev. Winifred Walker officiating. Interment will follow. Pallbearers will be Todd Lindley, Jason Lindley, Robert Lindley, Doug Shelton, Ira Shelton, and Jeff Hunter. Honorary pallbearers will be Raymond Daniel, Edward Daniel, Lowrey Daniel and Gerald Daniel. Friends may visit one hour prior to service at Chester T. French Memorial Mausoleum Chapel. French Mortuary, 1111 University Blvd. NE.
