Franchini -- Rose D. Franchini, loving wife, mother and grandmother, 78, a resident of Albuquerque for 53 years, died Friday, February 25, 2000. She is survived by her husband, Rusty Franchini; daughter, Lynne Peckinpaugh and husband, Dennis; granddaughter, Michele Peckinpaugh and Anthony Velarde, all of Albuquerque; grandson, David Peckinpaugh and wife, Maureen Tansey of St. Johnsbury, VT; sisters-in-law, Jeanette Devoti and husband, Frank and Mickey Franchini, all of Albuquerque; cousins, Mary Galligan, Ange Cunningham, Dominic Simonetti and Steve Stranges, all of Colorado; and several nieces, nephews and special friends. Mrs. Franchini touched many lives as a teacher at Our Lady of Fatima School for 30 years. She was a longtime member of Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church where she was active with the Women's Guild. Mrs. Franchini was past president of Albuquerque Business Women's Association; member of Casa Angelica Auxiliary; and Italian Women's Club. Rosary will be recited Sunday, 7:30 p.m., at Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church, 4020 Lomas Blvd. NE, with Deacon Frank See reciting. Mass will be celebrated Monday, 10:30 a.m. at Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church, with Father Francis X Eggert, Celebrant. Entombment will follow at Gate of Heaven Mausoleum. Pallbearers will be David Devoti, Greg Franchini, Keith Franchini, Kevin Franchini, Donald Devoti, Danny Franchini, John Franchini and Tom Franchini.
