Rogers -- Lorna Rogers, 77, a resident of Albuquerque, died on August 31, 2000 in Albuquerque. She was born in Las Vegas, New Mexico on March 11, 1923. She was pre-deceased by her husband Robert Wade. She is survived by her daughter, Cheryl Rogers Shannon; son, Thomas William Rogers; grandchild, Kelly Diane Shannon and cousins, Don and Lou Anne Giese. Mrs. Rogers was an active participant in St. John's United Methodist Church, Tri Sigma Sorority, P.E.O., Sisterhood Organization (past president). She enjoyed cooking, sewing, hostessing, playing bridge and gardening. Mrs. Rogers studied bookkeeping after high school, then worked for a doctor in Las Vegas. Relocated to Los Angeles, where she was active in Westchester UMC, PTA and as a secretary for TRW. After retiring from TRW, Lorna & Wade moved to Saudi Arabia, where they traveled, then retired to Albuquerque. Services will be held on Friday, September 8, 2000, 10:30 a.m., at St. John's United Methodist Church, 2626 Arizona NE. Burial will take place at Santa Fe National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, 1330 San Pedro NE, Suite 205, 87110. French Mortuary, Wyoming Chapel, 7121 Wyoming Blvd. NE.
