Miller -- Loretta Marcin Miller, age 92, left us September 3, 2000 to join her husband, Henry, sister, Eleanor, and other loved ones waiting to greet her. Loretta, born in Chicago, Illinois, April 3, 1908, brought her young family to New Mexico in the early 50s. She shared many aspects of her life with those around her, especially her passions for nursing and pastries."Pastries by Loretto and Henri" was closed when she resumed her nursing career in the early 1960s. She retired from nursing at the age of 75, from Lovelace. Loretta is survived by her children, Marylinda Collins of Illinois, Joseph Miller of Alaska, and Elizabeth Lewinger of Mississippi, along with their children and families. Family in Albuquerque include Katie, Ben and John Lewinger; and sister-in-law, Violet Fosmo. She is also survived by her sister, Jean Fagan; niece and nephew, Sr. Marylou Wcislo and Gordon Wcislo, all of Illinois. All of us, along with so many others, whose lives she touched, will greatly miss her. Since 1997, Loretta had lived at the Veterans Center in Truth or Consequences, NM. She, herself was a veteran, serving in the Army Nurse Corp. A special thank you to all of those there at the center who cared for her with love and compassion. The family asks that any memorials be made to New Mexico Veterans Center"Turtle Pond", which she so enjoyed. Cremation by Baca's Mimbres Crematory in Las Cruces, NM.
