Quintana -- Hipolito E. Quintana passed away Friday, May 26, 2000. He was born May 14, 1904 in El Cerrito, NM. He married Elvira Vigil in 1938 and together they had nine children, 19 grandchildren and 28 great-grandchildren. Elvira preceded him in death on October 9, 1966. Mr. Quintana is also preceded in death by two sisters, Rosa Lopez and Margarita Armijo and two brothers, Heliodoro and Gabriel Quintana. Mr. Quintana is survived by Francis Madrid Quintana, whom he married on September 20, 1969. His nine surviving children from his first marriage are: Uvaldo Quintana and wife, Phyllis, Rio Rancho, NM, Lucille Tafoya of Albuquerque, NM, Francille Herrera and husband, Joe, Tijeras, NM, Albert Quintana and wife, Gloria, Anthony Quintana and wife, Margaret, Christina Perez and husband, Joe, Richard Quintana and wife, Arlene, Dolores St. John and husband, Lee, all of Albuquerque, NM and Patsy Garcia and husband, Felix, Grants, NM; two brothers, Jose Lino Quintana and Eduardo Quintana; and one sister, Rita Archuleta, all of Pueblo, CO. He also is survived by many nieces and nephews. Rosary will be held Tuesday, May 30, 2000 at Church of The Risen Savior, 7701 Wyoming Blvd. NE, at 7:00 p.m. Mass will be held Wednesday, May 31, 2000 also at the Church of The Risen Savior at 10:00 a.m. with Fr. Richard Olona officiating. Interment is to immediately follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery with a reception after interment at Church of The Risen Savior. Pallbearers will be: Philip Quintana, Larry Herrera, Frank Tafoya, Wayne Quintana, Marcel Tafoya, Daniel Perez, Garry Herrera, Shawn Quintana and Luis Garcia.
