Erick -- George A. Erick, 76, a resident of Albuquerque for 35 years, passed away peacefully in his sleep on Tuesday, May 23, 2000. George was born in Toledo, Ohio, served in WWII in the Philippines in Air Sea Rescue as a W/O JG. He came to Albuquerque in 1962, and in 1972, he founded Medical Scientific Service, Inc., and had served as President since then. He was a member of Elks Club 461. Survivors include his wife, Charlotte Bauder Erick; son, Mike and his wife, Bridget, and grandson, Michael of Albuquerque; daughter, Linda Martin and grandson, C.J. Martin; and son, Gary Erick and his wife, Janel, and granddaughters, Ashley and Elizabeth, all of Toledo, OH. Memorials may be sent to Lovelace Hospice, 6200 Gibson SE 87108, Aquinas Newman Center Building Fund, 1815 Las Lomas Rd. NE 87106, or the American Heart Assn., 6301 Forest Hills NE 87109. Memorial services will be held Tuesday, May 30, 2:00 p.m., at Aquinas Newman Center, 1815 Las Lomas Rd. NE, with Father Bob Keller as Celebrant. Interment of cremated remains will take place at Santa Fe National Cemetery. Sunrise Society is serving the family of Mr. Erick, (891-8200).
