Downs -- Wilbur H. Downs, Jr., 80, a resident of Albuquerque 1947, died Friday, May 19, 2000. He is survived by his sons, David B. Downs and wife, Janet of Albuquerque, James W. Downs and wife, Reba of Colorado Springs, CO and daughter, Catherine A. VanBerg and husband, Neal of Sandia Park, NM; grandchildren, Matthew and Daniel Downs, Colin and Julia Downs, and Aaron and Moshe Van Berg; and brother, Roger H. Downs of Durango, CO. Mr. Downs was preceded in death by his wife, Laura, on November 11, 1997. He retired as Lt. Colonel from the US Army serving during WWI, Korea and Vietnam. Services were held on Friday, May 26, 2000 at Santa Fe National Cemetery with interment following. French Mortuary, 10500 Lomas Blvd. NE
