Johnson -- Ivory Deon Johnson, 27, passed away Sunday, April 23, 2000, at Rehoboth McKinley Christian Hospital in Gallup. Visitation will be Friday afternoon, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., at Baca's Funeral Chapel, where the Prayer Vigil will begin at 7:00 p.m. that evening. Funeral services will be Saturday, April 29 at 10:00 a.m. in the morning at Baca's Funeral Chapel with Fr. David Bentley, Pastor of Holy Family Catholic Church, officiating. Concluding services and interment will follow at Mt. View Cemetery with Veterans Honors by Grant County Veterans Organizations. Ivory was born October 1, 1972 in Dallas County, Texas to Charles and Charles Etta Johnson. He was a graduate of Northern State University in Aberdeen, South Dakota, where he received his Bachelors Degree in Political Science in May, 1999. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and served in Kuwait during Desert Storm. Ivory was currently sales manager at Palm Harbor Homes in Albuquerque. He is survived by his wife, Meisha Catherine Seats Johnson of Rio Rancho; his son, Dillon Ivory Johnson of Phoenix, AZ; his unborn son, Darrel Deon Johnson of Rio Rancho; his mother, Charles Etta Johnson of Seattle, WA; three brothers, Clifford Johnson of Dallas, TX, Jimron Johnson, his wife, Brenda, Galen Johnson and his wife, Amanda, all of Seattle, WA; one sister, Laterria Johnson of Seattle, WA; his in-laws, Darrel and Cathy Seats of Deming; brothers-in-law, Terry Seats and Kasey Seats of Deming, Kris Seats of Coolidge, AZ; a sister-in-law, Lisa LoPresti of Whitestone, NY; and numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Charles Johnson and his maternal grandmother, Evangelist Charlzine B. Davidson. Pallbearers will be Terry, Kasey, and Kris Seats, Toby Sturek, and Jimron and Galen Johnson. Entrusted to the care of Baca's Funeral Chapel, 811 S. Gold, Deming, NM 88030.
