Mayefske -- Roman Mayefske, 71, a resident of Albuquerque since 1987, died at his home on February 15, 2000 after a two year battle with lung cancer. He was born in Menasha, WI on December 13, 1928. He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Mary Mayefske. He is survived by his sister, Catherine Hietpas and husband, Gerald; and his brother, Rev. Thomas Mayefske. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and friends. A prayer service will be on Thursday, February 17, 2000, 7:00 p.m., at St. Anne Catholic Church. Funeral Mass will be 9:00 a.m., Friday, February 18, 2000, also at St. Anne Catholic Church. Interment will be in Wisconsin. Salazar & Sons Mortuary in charge of arrangements.
