Gober -- Alice M. Gober, 99, a resident of Albuquerque for 21 years, died Saturday, April 22, 2000. She is survived by her son, William S. Gober, Jr. of Albuquerque; nieces, Mrs. George Wiedman of Texas, Carole Knudson and Darlene Marvin of Florida and many other nieces and nephews; special friends, Mr. & Mrs. William Bayne; her friends at La Vida Llena Retirement Home and the members of the Metropolitan Community Church in Albuquerque. She was preceded in death by her husband, William Gober, Sr. in 1976 and daughter, Ellen Elizabeth Gober in 1936. She was a member of the Metropolitan Community Church of Albuquerque. She loved to cook and especially loved her home. Alice was always kind of everyone. Services will be held Tuesday, 10:30 a.m. at French Mortuary, Wyoming Blvd. Chapel, 7121 Wyoming Ne with Rev. Susan Sawyer-Hilty officiating. Interment will take place Thursday at 2:00 p.m. in the old Jacksonville City Cemetery in Jacksonville, TX. Friends may visit French Mortuary, Wyoming Blvd. Chapel, 7121 Wyoming NE, Monday from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m.
