Ganyard -- Floyd P. Ganyard, 76, a resident of Albuquerque for 48 years, passed away on Thursday, April 13, 2000. He is survived by his wife, Maxine of the family home; and two nephews, Joel Tatro of Tucson, AZ and Jeffrey Tatro of Marietta, GA. Mr. Ganyard was preceded in death by an only son, Steven in 1995. Floyd was born in Medina, Ohio. During World War II, he was a B24 Pilot and served in the European theater of the war. After the war, he attended the University of Michigan School of Engineering graduating in 1950. In 1952 he married Maxine Munn. They resided in Albuquerque, where Mr. Ganyard traveled for the BF Goodrich Rubber Company. In 1966 Floyd began working as an engineer for the Sandia Labs retiring in 1985. Floyd is a member of Central United Methodist Church and a fifty-year member of the Medina, Ohio Masonic Lodge #58. The family thanks the Cardiac and Pulmonary Care nurses and doctors at Presbyterian Hospital for their excellent care and many kindness. Services will be held Tuesday, 1:00 p.m., at French Mortuary, University Blvd. Chapel, 1111 University Blvd. NE, with Rev. Marty Singleterry officiating. Interment will take place at 3:00 p.m. at Santa Fe National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Heart Association-NM Affiliate, 6301 Forest Hills Dr. NE, 87110 or the American Cancer Society, Attn: Melissa Vialpando, 5800 Lomas Blvd. NE, 87110. French Mortuary, 1111 University Blvd. NE.
