Danek -- Lucile Francis Danek, 90, a resident of Albuquerque since 1961, died Thursday, April 13, 2000. She is survived by her sons, Robert Benton Danek and wife, Sylvia of Albuquerque, Dr. Thomas Arnold Danek and wife, Frances of Pittsboro, NC, and Richard Francis Danek and wife, Karen of Grants; daughter, Linda L. Lawhorn and husband, Col. Paul of San Antonio, TX; 13 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren. Mrs. Danek was a member of First United Methodist Church; Mu Phi Epsilon International Honorary Music Sorority; and The National Retired Teachers Association. She was an honor graduate of the former MacPhail School of Music and Dramatic Art, and for a time was a member of their faculty. In 1932, she married Lt. Richard R. Danek. He retired as a U.S. Army Colonel after 33 years of service. He preceded her in death in January of 1998. Mrs. Danek was well known in the music circles of Albuquerque for many years. From 1962 to 1965, she directed five choirs at St. John United Methodist Church. Services will be held Monday, 3:30 p.m., at Chester T. French Memorial Mausoleum Chapel, 924 Menaul Blvd. NE, with Rev. Clyde Stanfield officiating. Entombment will follow at Chester T. French Memorial Mausoleum. French Mortuary, 1111 University Blvd. NE
