Cannon -- Michael L. Cannon, 58, a resident of Albuquerque, died on Wednesday, September 13, 2000. Mr. Cannon is survived by his daughters, Sara Spencer and husband, Shannon and Melinda Moncayo and husband, Jose; son, Michael L. Cannon, II; sisters, Ann Keeser and Mary Mayfield; grandchildren, Abigayle Spencer and Madison Moncayo; former wife, Reta King; nephew, Michael Keese; nieces, Ann Keese, Emily Chambers and Katie Mayfield. Mr. Cannon was a retired US Army Captain, with 29th infantry division in the Viet Nam War. He graduated from St. Mary's University Law School in 1975. Mr. Cannon practiced law in San Antonio with Bexar County District Attorney's Office. He also served as a trial attorney with U.S. Immigration Office in El Paso, TX. A memorial service was held on Friday, September 15, 2000, at 3:30 p.m., at French Mortuary, Wyoming Chapel, 7121 Wyoming Blvd. NE, with Pastor Lem Boyles officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to a charity of one's choice.
