Sandoval -- JoAnn Sandoval, age 58, a lifelong New Mexico and longtime Albuquerque resident, died March 20, 2000. Mrs. Sandoval is survived by her husband, Andres J. Sandoval; two daughters, Gloria Griego and Denise Garcia and her husband, Valentino; her mother, Olive Miera, all of Albuquerque. She is also survived by her sister, Lupita Gonzales and her husband, Floyd of Taos; and a brother, Raul Miera Jr. and his wife, Norma of Albuquerque; and four grandchildren, Christino Griego, Sheena Griego, Savannah Garcia, and Orlando Garcia; and many nieces and nephews, and friends. Mrs. Sandoval was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother, who will be greatly missed by those who knew and loved her. Viewing and visitation will be held today, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., with a Rosary to follow in the Palm Chapel of Strong-Thorne Mortuary. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Thursday, March 23, 2000 at 12:00 noon in St. Edwin Catholic Church, 2105 Barcelona SW, with Fr. Jose Hernandez Celebrant. Interment will follow in Mt. Calvary Cemetery with Valentino Garcia, Christino Griego, Scott Lopez, Anthony Lujan, Edwin Lujan, and Francisco Garcia serving as casket bearers. Strong-Thorne Mortuary, 1100 Coal Ave. SE, are in charge of arrangements.
