Ramirez -- Antonia"Toni" C. Ramirez, our beloved mother and wife, died unexpectedly on May 17, 2000. Toni chaired the Board of the Heights YMCA; she was a member of the Planning Committee for the Fiesta de Ontonio. She is survived by her devoted husband of 28 years, Eddie Ramirez; three daughters, Maria Elyna D. Montoya of Albuquerque, Victoria Bustos and husband, Cary of Grants, Esperanza Ramirez of Albuquerque; one son, Eddie Ramirez of Albuquerque; six grandchildren, Andrew and Antonnette Montoya, Patrick Torres, Triston and Joshua Bustos, and Ashley Salazar. Also surviving are her mother, Ricarda Sandoval and husband, Ted; her father, Luis Padilla and wife, Mary; two brothers, Anastasio Padilla and wife, Angie, Leo Padilla and wife, Christina; one sister, Manuelita (Mela) Sanchez and husband, David, all of Albuquerque; father and mother-in-law, Andres and Virginia Cortez; numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and a host of friends. She will be greatly missed by her loving family and all who loved and knew her. May God welcome her home with loving arms."We love you mom." A Memorial service will be conducted Saturday at 7:00 p.m. in the chapel of Garcia Mortuary, located on 8th and Iron.
