Casey -- Kevin Logan Casey went to be with the Lord on August 28th. He was born October 2, 1951 in Albuquerque, and graduated from Sandia High School in 1969. He was preceded in death by his son, Sean Casey. He is survived by his parents, Dr. D.J. and Helen Casey of Albuquerque; a daughter, Heather A. Casey; three grandchildren, Felicia Matta, Anthony Matta, and Sean's daughter, Crystal Casey of Albuquerque; a sister, Kathleen J. Casey of Highland Park, NJ; a brother, Dennis J. and his wife, Sally Casey; niece, Shelley Casey; and nephew, Charlie Casey, all of Albuquerque; grandparents, Elizabeth and Howard Ekiss; an uncle, George A. Lamb; aunt, Georgianna L. Scantlebury, all of Cape Coral, FL; an aunt, Sherry E. Christman of Fort Meyers, FL; and numerous cousins. Kevin was blessed with the abilities to capably work in the areas of surveying, carpentry and the manufacturing of Indian jewelry. He resided in California from 1978 to 1991. Returning to Albuquerque in 1991, he began a process of expanding his education, taking courses at the University of New Mexico, and entered the Intel Program at the Technical Vocation Institute of New Mexico. A Memorial service, officiated by Kevin's former teacher and St. Pius X principal, Father Francis X. Eggert, and assisted by Ed Kaufman, will be presented at 3:00 p.m., Friday, September 1, 2000 at the Church of the Risen Savior, 7701 Wyoming NE. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be forwarded to Joy Junction, 4500 Second Street SW, Albuquerque, New Mexico 87105.
