Jones -- Mildred E. Jones, 90, passed away Wednesday, August 23, 2000. She was born in Gainesville, TX, on December 22, 1909. She is survived by her brother, James Manion Jones; sister, Kathryn Jones, both of Albuquerque; nieces, Jan Sharon Coble of North Cleveland Heights, OH, Gwendolyn Sutton of Amarillo, TX, Ramona Davis of Colorado Springs, CO, Cheryl Gadish of Tempe, AZ; and 13 grandnieces and grandnephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Manson and Eunice Jones; sister, Margaret Coble; and a brother, Boyd Jones. Mildred moved with her family to Gallup and then to Amarillo, TX, where she attended school. Through the years she assisted with the care of her grandfather, parents, siblings and nieces. She moved back to Gallup with her family in 1943 and then to Albuquerque in 1989. Her hobbies included raising birds and maintaining a family history through photography. Cremation has taken place. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, September 2, 2000, 2:00 p.m. in the Central United Methodist Church Chapel, 1615 Copper Ave NE (University and Copper) with Dr. Charles Crutchfield officiating.
