Sandoval -- Ruth Alicia Sandoval, 69, of Las Cruces and formerly of Albuquerque, entered eternal life Tuesday, February, 29, 2000 at R.E. Thomason General Hospital in El Paso, Texas. She was born February 4, 1931 in Guayaquil, Ecuador to Luis and Emma Jacome Espinoza. Ms. Sandoval was a homemaker and member of Unity School of Christianity. Survivors include three daughters, Anna J. Sandoval-Vail and her husband, Roger of Oberursel, Germany, Ruth A. Sandoval of Arlington, VA, Zonia E. Davidson and her husband, Tim of Las Cruces; her step-parents, Arturo and Rosa Rael of New York City, NY; two sisters, Ilma Rodriguez of Quito, Ecuador and Josefina Baquero of Miami, FL; other survivors include her loving companion, Corazon; her former husband, Alfredo Sandoval of Valparaiso, Chile; eight grandchildren, Brandon Vail, Shawna Carpenter, Shelley Fontenot, Alejandro Ruiz, Alina Davidson, Adrian Ruiz, Victoria and Joshua Vail; four great-grandchildren, Shane Carpenter, Hannah Fontenot, Alejandro Vail and Rebecca Fontenot. She was preceded in death by her parents. At Ms. Sandoval's request, cremation will take place and a memorial service will be held Friday, March 3, 2000 at 2:00 p.m. in Baca's Funeral Chapels (West), 300 E. Boutz Road, with Pastor Brandon Vail officiating. Ruth was a child of God, inspirational and motivational for all who passed through her life. We will miss her dearly. Services arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Baca's Funeral Chapels and Baca's Mimbres Crematory, 527-2222.
