Garcia -- Mrs. Francisca"Quica" Almeida de Garcia, born January 15, 1923, a resident of Albuquerque, passed away peacefully at home in the arms of her loving family on February 29, 2000. Mrs. Garcia was the beloved wife of 49 years to Mr. Sabro Garcia. She is also survived by one daughter, Irma Johnson and husband, Vervon; two sons, Joaquin"Jake" Garcia and Oscar Garcia and wife, Jeanette; one brother, Moises Almeida and wife, Sofia; grandchildren, Justin, Marisol, Adrian, Erik and Jennifer; many nieces, nephews, and a circle of close friends. She was preceded in death by her brothers, Manuel Almeida, Efrian Almeida; sisters, Concha Alemida Valverde and Socorrito Alemida Maestas. Fue una buena hija, hermana, esposa y sobre todo fue una madre llena de bondad y generocidad de amor para sus hijos vivio su vida como ejemplo de caridad, y como una senora christiana. La vamos hechar mucho memos. Descance en paz. Mrs. Garcia was a member of the Catholic Church and a past member of the Legion of Santa Monica. A Rosary will be recited Thursday evening at 7:00 p.m. at San Jose Mission/Los Duranes Catholic Church, 2110 Los Luceros Rd. NW. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday morning at 10:00 a.m. at San Jose Mission/Los Duranes Church with final viewing at the church after 9:30 a.m. Msgr. Leo Lucero, Celebrant. Interment will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Justin Johnson, Adrian Johnson, Erik Garcia, Moises Almeida Alarcon, Johnny Armenta and Lawrence Torres. Gabaldon Mortuary, 1000 Old Coors Rd. SW, in charge of arrangements.
