Otero -- Erineo"Eddie""Cowboy" M. Otero passed away on June 14, 2000 surrounded by his loving family. Mr. Otero is survived by his wife of 63 years, Rebecca; five sons, Joe and wife, Elba of San Jon, NM, Carlos and wife, Liz of Albuquerque, Eddie and wife, Antoinette of Moriarty, Mike and wife, Delia of Albuquerque, and Louie Otero of Albuquerque; three daughters, Eloisa Beggs of Evans, CO, Jennie Schobey and Mary Solano, both of Albuquerque; 29 grandchildren and 32 great-grandchildren; three sisters, Elsie Romero of Albuquerque, Lena Chavez of Grants and Lessie Torres of Bell Garden, CA. Mr. Otero served in the Navy during World War II, retired as a truck driver, was active in the American Legion Post 13, and a parishioner at St. Edwin Catholic Church. Erineo will be greatly missed by his family. A Rosary will be held in the residence at 1716 Del Sur SW, this evening at 7:00 p.m. Mass will be celebrated at St. Edwin Catholic Church, 2105 Barcelona SW, on Saturday morning at 10:00 a.m., with Fr. Jose Hernandez, Celebrant. Graveside services will follow in Cubero, New Mexico. Pallbearers are Martin Roybal, Rueben Diaz, Ralph Cordova, Willie Serna, Felix Duran and Benny Diaz. Honorary pallbearers are Arthur Schobey, Thomas Schobey, Arthur Schobey Jr., Joe Beggs, Ray Beggs, Johnny Otero, Ernie Otero, Jessie Otero, Mel Garcia and Joseph Otero.
